Energy Independence Summit

02.14.18

EIS 2018

The Centralina Clean Fuels Coalition invites you to attend the Energy Independence Summit 2018, February 11-14 in Washington, D.C.
Organized by Transportation Energy Partners (TEP), the Summit brings together the nation’s clean transportation leaders to share best practices and educate federal policy makers about the benefits of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program and the need for additional tools and resources to overcome barriers to the widespread use of clean vehicles and fuels.
Energy Independence Summit 2018 will be especially important as the transportation sector seeks to educate the administration and Congress about the importance of maintaining support for the Clean Cities program, the EPA Clean Diesel Grants, the Renewable Fuel Standard, and the various tax incentives for alternative fuels, vehicles, and infrastructure.
Transportation Energy Partners is an independent, non-profit, national organization that provides policy support for the nation’s 90 local and regional Clean Cities Coalitions.  TEP has been organizing Energy Independence Summits in Washington since 2006; these events have played a key role in increasing clean transportation funding, which has greatly benefitted Clean Cities Coalitions and our industry partners.
Last year’s Summit was a tremendous success with more than 50 Clean Cities Coordinators and over 100 industry leaders.  Roundtables featured top leaders from the electric vehicle, natural gas, biofuels, and propane industries, and we organized more than 200 meetings with key members of the House and Senate to discuss continued bipartisan Congressional support for advancing markets for the clean transportation industry.
We believe the United States must aggressively expand our use of domestically produced alternatives to petroleum fuel if we are to stabilize gasoline process, decrease our dependence on foreign oil, and maintain and create American jobs. The more supporters who join our effort, the greater our ability to make sure policies and funding support local clean transportation programs and projects.
Please contact Carina Soriano with questions or about special pricing opportunities at (704) 688-7035 or csoriano [at] centralina [dot] org; or for more information about the Summit, please visit the EIS 2018 website.
We hope to see you in DC in February.
